RIABNM - Scientific Department
Scientific Department includes Animal Breeding, Nutrition and Meat Science Divisions. Scope of activities of research groups include basic and applied research and development activity related to genetics, breeding, reproduction, meat science, nutrition and physiology of nutrition of the so-called large farm animals (cattle, swine, sheep, horse).
Organizational subunits
Animal Breeding Division combines the work of three research groups. Research Group for Breeding and Reproduction Biology is responsible for research based on biotechnological methods that complement conventional breeding methods.
Quality of meat and meat products is influenced by several factors. These include the animal’s species, breed, gender, age, housing and last but not least it’s feeding.
Doing fundamental and applied research in the field of nutrition of livestock species. Research and Development (R+D) activity is conducted in close cooperation with productive agricultural companies.
