Research of production of products of animal origin and the physiological and biochemical processes of animal feeding. Investigation of digestion characteristics of farm animals, and the intermediary metabolism and the regulation of the main nutrients.

• nutrient utilization and metabolism in livestock species (digestion kinetics, in situ, in vitro and in vivo methods)
• amino acid and mineral metabolism in farm animals and their energy supply
• development of experimental and analytical methods
• influence of composition of animal products by feeding practices
• analysis of ruminal degradability of fodders (in sacco method)
• relationship between nutrition and environmental protection, investigation of environmental-friendly animal nutrition systems
